More information: Ramsey County Attorney John Choi welcomes MCPC members to the Office of the Ramsey County Attorney scheduled for July 25-26, 2024, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for the APA 2024 July Major County Prosecutors Council (MCPC) Meeting. The meeting will highlight Ramsey County’s data and research informed safety and justice initiatives, juvenile justice, and the collaborative effort with law enforcement to reduce non-public safety traffic stops. This meeting will also discuss AI and how offices are utilizing new technology responsibly to improve the prosecutorial function while addressing issues it may bring. APA's Major County Prosecutors Council (MCPC), made up of the elected prosecuting attorneys from the most populated jurisdictions in the United States, was created in 2013 to further meet the demands that prosecutors from large urban areas face in the administration of justice. The MCPC gathers in person bi-annually for a two-day summit to discuss the current issues they are grappling with and model policies and protocols to address these issues. An agenda for this meeting is forthcoming. APA will be covering hotel stay and reimbursing transportation for a representative from each MCPC member office in good standing.
