Description: We believe that strong collaboration between prosecutors and law enforcement is crucial for the successful implementation and use of body-worn cameras and other evidence collection methods. For the last 5 years in Virginia Beach, our city has worked together from planning to implementation and ongoing process evaluation to help promote seamless information sharing, streamlined evidence collection, and improved communication between prosecutors and law enforcement officers. One of the catalysts between the two organizations has been the use of Axon products, including Axon Records, Justice, and Evidence.com.

This presentation will review some of the hurdles we have encountered specifically with body-worn cameras and how we work together using Axon to build the bridge between law enforcement and prosecutors. Key Learning Objectives: Attendees will learn and understand the value of an effective working relationship between LE and prosecution partners in managing not only digital evidence, but in public safety practice in general.
