Mark Hale, Chief of the Conviction Review Unit ("CRU") at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office will look back at the first twenty-five wrongful convictions identified by the office’s CRU since its inception in 2014. The second part of this webinar will focus on compromised witnesses, faulty scientific evidence,  and failure to disclose by prosecutors and/or police. Mr. Hale will also discuss 3 cases in more detail that are referenced in the report to illustrate the report's findings.
